Performance Under the Hood
The standard 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is powered by a 3.6L V6 gas engine making a hefty 287 horsepower, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive or the new all-wheel option. This configuration produces some great performance figures for what remains a family vehicle, with the Pacifica speeding from 0-100kmh in a shade over seven seconds. But this great performance doesn't mean the Pacifica is a thirsty gas guzzler, boasting a highly respectable fuel economy rating of just 7.6L / 100km for highway driving. For even more miserly fuel consumption, there's also a hybrid Pacifica available, pairing the same gas engine with two electric motors. This configuration lowers the horsepower a little to 260hp, but improves the fuel economy dramatically with a combined rating of 2.8L / 100km.
Advanced Infotainment and Technology
Infotainment is a particularly important part of a family car, helping to make even longer journeys pass more smoothly. The 2021 Pacifica now has an upgraded 10.1" touchscreen running the Uconnect 5 system to provide all the info and controls you need in one place. Smartphone integration is handled by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with extra connectivity provided by a Wi-Fi hotspot facility and up to 12 USB ports spread throughout the cabin.
