The Compass follows the classic Jeep design style of rugged, chunky lines, a raised profile for better off-road handling, and the iconic seven-segment front grille. However, the Compass is more modern looking than some other members of the Jeep lineup, and looks just as at home on the driveway as on the trail.

Impressive Performance

For a small SUV, the Compass boasts plenty of power lurking under the hood. The standard engine is a 2.4L 4-cylinder model, pushing out 180 horsepower and 175lb-ft of torque. The output can be passed to two drivetrain configurations. Choose front-wheel drive and you'll also get a six-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive option has an upgraded nine-speed automatic. The AWD versions also includes Jeep's excellent Selec-Terrain system, which automatically balances traction and output to individual wheels for impeccable handling on all surfaces.

Infotainment Options

Even the base model of the Compass is fitted with a crisp 7" infotainment touchscreen, upgraded to an 8" model on the higher trims. Both screen sizes run the acclaimed Uconnect software which is fast and user-friendly. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth are standard, while advanced inbuilt navigation is an optional upgrade.
