2021 Jeep Gladiator - Now in Milton

Jeep may be better known for their off-road-ready SUVs than their trucks, but they produce some of the highest-rated mid-size pickups on the market. The previous version of the Jeep Gladiator received the prestigious 2020 Truck of the Year award from Motoring TV, and we now have the updated 2021 model available in our Milton dealership. Here's what you can expect from this outstanding pickup.

What's New for 2021

The major change for 2021 is the addition of a diesel engine option to go along with the standard gas powertrain. However, the 4WD system has also been improved, with the Selec-Trac torque management system now an option across all models.

Unique Design

Although the format may be a truck, the design is unmistakably Jeep in style. From the front, the Gladiator could almost be mistaken for the iconic off-roader the Jeep Wrangler, but thankfully the pickup bed has been carefully integrated rather than just tacked on behind. If the classic Jeep look appeals, you'll love the Gladiator.

Performance

The standard gas engine is a 3.6L V6 making 286 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque. The output is passed to 4WD through a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic. There's also an optional EcoDiesel engine which slightly drops the horsepower to 260hp but ups the torque to a satisfying 442lb-ft. Both powertrains hit the spot at which the Gladiator is firmly aimed, handling general light-to-medium truck duties while also having the chops to be a genuine off-road contender. What's more, the Gladiator can tow over twice as much as the Wrangler it's based on, with a maximum figure of 3,470kg, while the pickup bed can handle up to 771kg in payload.

Infotainment

Apart from the entry-level trim, all versions of the Gladiator have a 7" or 8.4" touchscreen fitted with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For extra convenience, there are also several USB charging and connection points distributed around the cabin.

Safety Features

On some trims, off-road safety is increased by the forward camera mounted on the grille to give extra visibility. But all versions of the Gladiator are fitted with active safety systems, with available highlights including:

  • Forward collision warnings.
  • Blind spot monitoring.
  • Adaptive cruise control.
  • Rear parking sensors.
