New for the 2021 Model

The two key differences for 2021 are the launch of an 80th Anniversary Edition of the Grand Cherokee, and an upgrade to the Laredo trim. The special edition includes stylish and luxuries extras including leather seats, tungsten accents, and enlarged 18" wheels. The new Laredo trim adds an X to its name, along with in-dash navigation, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Design and Exterior

Performance

As standard, the Grand Cherokee packs a 3.6L V6 under the hood, making a highly respectable 295 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque. The output is passed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.   Two optional V8 engines boost the horsepower to a maximum of 475hp, but the performance star of the show is the Trackhawk trim which churns out 707 horsepower and 645lb-ft of torque from its 6.2L V8 mill.   Whether you're looking for a capable city performer that's happy to venture off-road, or a dedicated trail-chewing demon, there's a Grand Cherokee for you.

Infotainment and Technology

Depending on the trim, the 2021 Grand Cherokee is equipped with either a 7" touchscreen or a luxurious 8.4" upgrade. As you'd expect from a modern SUV, smartphone integration is standard using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. To complete the interior's high-tech feel, instrumentation is handled by a clear, bright 7" digital gauge cluster.
